The standard molybdenum austenitic stainless steel, 316L stainless steel coil, has a carbon percentage that is lower than usual. The molybdenum component improves its ability to resist corrosion, while the low carbon percentage makes it easier to weld and shape. Despite this, there is no significant price difference between 316 and 316L stainless steel. Essentially, 316L is a slightly more desirable variation of the 316 stainless steel due to its enhanced features, but it does not come at an extra cost.
Furthermore, a wide range of industries including shipbuilding, petrochemical, pharmaceuticals, food processing, chemical processing, and more, etc., consistently demand these 316l coils due to their exceptional properties. These stainless steel coils offer remarkable creep resistance, stress to rupture capability, and elevated tensile strength.
