Finish

There are various kinds of finishes for steel products. You have the Hot rolled plate (HR), Cold rolled sheet (CR), NO.1, 2B, 2D, 2H, 2R, No.4, HAIRLINE, SCOTCH BRITE, SATIN FINISH, NO.8, and BA. These finishes differ in terms of appearance and texture.
The HR finish is the result of the hot rolling process, whereby the steel is heated to a high temperature and then rolled. It has a rough surface texture, and the edges may be rounded. In comparison, the CR finish is smoother and has a polished surface.
NO.1 is a rough, dull finish that is often used for structural or decorative purposes. The 2B finish is similar to the CR finish but has a slight glossiness. The 2D finish has a matte appearance and is commonly used in industrial applications.
