Standard

There are several standards that are commonly used within the field of stainless steel pipes and tubing. These include ASTM A213, ASTM A312, ASME SA213, JIS3463, DIN 17458, and EN10216-5.
ASME SA213 and ASTM A213 both cover seamless ferritic and austenitic alloy steel boiler, superheater, and heat-exchanger tubes. Similarly, ASTM A312 covers seamless, welded, and heavily cold-worked austenitic stainless steel pipes.
JIS3463 and DIN 17458 are Japanese and German standards, respectively, and cover stainless steel pipes for general service. EN10216-5, on the other hand, specifies the technical delivery conditions for seamless stainless steel tubes for pressure purposes.
All of these standards are important in ensuring that stainless steel pipes and tubing are manufactured to the highest quality and meet the needs of various industries and applications.

The polishing aids for pickling include various grit sizes such as 180#, 220#, 240#, 320#, 400#, and 600#.

Theoretical Weight(kg/m)

To calculate the weight per meter for a pipe, you need to use the following formula: (OD-WT)*WT*0.02507, where both the outer diameter (OD) and wall thickness (WT) are in millimeters. This formula will help you determine the weight per meter of the pipe accurately. Make sure to input the correct values for OD and WT to get an accurate result.

Note:

OD is the specified outside diameter.

WT is the specified wall thickness

There is no need for pickling stainless steel pipes if bright annealing is employed, as it eliminates the requirement for scale removal.
